Pacific Heat is an animated comedy series based on the exploits of a dynamic unit of undercover police investigators. Set on the glitzy Gold Coast where sun and surf meets soaring crime rates, Pacific Heat was created by the award-winning Working Dog team of Santo Cilauro, Tom Gleisner and Rob Sitch.
The Gold Coast. Glamorous, sophisticated, a sun-drenched paradise. But beneath the coconut oil lies a hot-bed of crime. Everyone from drug smugglers and bikie gangs to radical eco-extremists and the person who invented frozen yoghurt. In order to tackle this seedy underbelly police authorities established a special unit. Known as “Pacific Heat”, this covert squad of highly trained operatives technically does not exist (although, for tax purposes, they do have an A.B.N.) but when there’s a crime that simply must be solved the ‘Pac Heat’ team will be there. Unconventional, uncompromising and with an arrest rate second to none, these guys are not afraid to operate outside the law – provided at least one of them is wearing a fluorescent safety vest.
MEET THE SQUAD
Special Agent Grant Sommerville (voiced by Rob Sitch)
Thrown out of the police force for a crime he didn’t commit (along with several others he may have had a hand in), Todd Sommerville is a cop not afraid to bend the rules.
Special Agent Maddie Riggs (voiced by Rebecca Massey)
Combining brains and beauty, Maddie’s many skills include: martial arts, forensic psychology, languages, computer science and counter-surveillance. She’s also a registered civil celebrant.
Special Agent Veronica Delane (V.J.) (voiced by Lucia Mastrantone)
The only member of the team licensed to wear high heels, Veronica speaks three languages (often simultaneously) and can do anything from hot-wiring a car to de-fusing a dirty bomb.
Special Agent Zac Valentic (voiced by Santo Cilauro)
The tough man of the team, Zac is a special breed of cop. He once threw the rule-book out the window and then arrested himself for littering.
The Chief (voiced by Tom Gleisner)
Tough, street-smart and still unhappy that his peptic ulcer doesn’t entitle him to a disabled parking spot, the Chief has seen it all.
